Box Office: Ranveer Singh’s Simmba beats Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger; becomes 18th All Time highest worldwide grosser :Bollywood Box Office

The Rohit Shetty directed film Simmba starring Ranveer Singh released almost two weeks ago. Since then the film which received positive reviews from both the critics and audience alike has been virtually unstoppable at the box office. After hitting a total of 4020 screens, Simmba fast became one of the biggest money spinners of the year, ending 2018 with a bang. Now, almost at the end of its second week in theatres, the business of the Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba has managed to beat the collections of the Salman Khan starrer Ek Tha Tiger to become the 18^th all-time highest worldwide grosser.

Collecting Rs. 260.04 cr gross within the domestic market and another Rs. 76.92 cr gross from the overseas markets, the total worldwide gross collections of Simmba are currently pegged at Rs. 336.96 cr. Interestingly, the Salman Khan starrer Ek Tha Tiger had managed to rake in Rs. 334.39 cr gross at the worldwide box office till the end of its theatrical run.

If that was all, the gross worldwide collections of Simmba have also managed to surpass certain other releases like Bang Bang that had collected Rs. 332.43 cr, Hindi Medium that collected Rs. 322.4 cr, and even the recently released Aamir Khan starrer Thugs of Hindostan that had collected Rs. 322.07 cr.

Though currently the business of Simmba still has a long way to go to become one of the top 10 all-time highest worldwide grossers, expectations are that the film which still continues to run in theatres will climb a few notches higher over the coming days. If estimates are to be believed, then Simmba is likely to see a surge in collections over its third weekend running.
