The recently release Tom Holland starrer Spider-Man: No Way Home opened with a bang at the Indian box office. With advance booking for the film filling fast major multiplex chains added more shows with some beginning as early as 4 AM. Released across 3264 screens and four languages viz. Hindi, English, Tamil, and Telugu, in India the film lived up to expectations on its opening day raking in a staggering Rs. 32.67 cr. Now, on its fourth day running Spider-Man: No Way Home has managed to draw in a further Rs. 29.23 cr.
In this box office report, we take a look at the Hollywood films that have managed to cross the Rs. 100 cr mark the fastest. Collecting Rs. 108.37 cr in just four days of its release Spider-Man: No Way Home has managed to surpass the previously released film Avengers: Infinity War that collected Rs. 114.82 cr in 4 days to become the second-fastest Rs. 100 cr Hollywood grosser in India. Leading the list is Avengers: Endgame that raked in Rs. 105.8 cr in just 2 days of its release, while other films that have managed this feat are The Lion King that collected Rs. 114.27 in 10 days, and The Jungle Book that collected Rs. 101.28 - 10 days. Apart from these films, Fast & Furious 7 and Jurassic World raked in Rs. 108 and Rs. 101 cr respectively. However, they were lifetime collections and hence not mentioned in the comparison.
Currently, Spider-Man: No Way Home has received positive reviews from the critic and audiences alike appears to be unstoppable at the Indian box office. Trade estimates state that the business of the film will continue to grow over its opening weekend with a high likelihood of collections crossing the Rs. 125 and even Rs. 150 cr mark.
