The Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri – The Surgical Strike released weeks back and since then the film has been dominating the box office register despite new films hitting screens. Now after its three week run Uri still manages to find favour among the audience and has stunning one and all with its collections.
In this box office analysis we take a look at the third week collections of Uri while comparing the same to previous releases that have made it this far. Collecting Rs. 37.04 cr in its third week, Uri has managed to beat the third week collections of Padmaavat that had raked in Rs. 31.75 cr to become the fourth highest all-time third week grosser. If that wasn’t enough, the business of Uri has recorded considerably higher number than other releases like Sanju that collected Rs. 31.62 cr, 3 Idiots that collected Rs. 30.12 cr, Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected Rs. 30.06 cr, and Bajirao Mastani that collected Rs. 29.05 cr.
However, despite the stellar run Uri has been enjoying at the box office, the collections of the film do not surpass certain other releases like Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion that collected Rs. 69.75 cr, Dangal that collected Rs. 46.35 cr, and PK that collected Rs. 41.61 cr.
As of now, with the new releases opening on a slow note, predictions state that Uri is more than likely to remain the first choice of cinema going audience. In fact, it is expected that the total collections of Uri will cross the Rs. 175 cr mark by the end of its fourth weekend.
