The Yash starrer has done it, 21 days after its release KGF – Chapter 2 has now crossed the lifetime collections of the Aamir Khan starrer Dangal. After a thunderous start, the business of KGF 2 has been seeing immense growth with each passing week. After blitzing past the Rs. 100 cr, Rs. 200 cr., and Rs. 300 cr. mark, the film is now inching closer to the Rs. 400 cr. mark.
In this box office report, we look at the collections of KGF – Chapter 2 while comparing the same to previous releases. Collecting a further Rs. 8.75 cr. on Day 21, the total collections of KGF 2 are pegged at Rs. 391.65 cr. When compared to previous releases the film has now surpassed the collections of Dangal, which had collected Rs. 387.38 cr. to become the second all-time highest grosser. Though still leading the list is the SS Rajamouli directorial Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion, which had collected Rs. 510.99 cr, the meteoric rise of KGF 2 on the list has been a remarkable sight.
Going forward, KGF – Chapter 2 is expected to continue to see its overall collections increase despite the new Hollywood film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hitting screens this weekend. In fact, trade predictions state that KGF 2 will certainly see its business cross the Rs. 400 cr. mark today and eventually near the Rs. 420 cr. mark by the end of the weekend.
