The much talked about sequel Ponniyin Selvan 2, released a while back. The film, which is the second instalment in the Ponniyin Selvan saga, came with immense anticipation attached to it. Living up to the same the film has been doing well at the box office. In fact, in the south PS-2 has been nearly unstoppable. Not surprisingly, in the overseas markets as well PS-2 has been on a roll.
After taking a good start at the overseas box office, Ponniyin Selvan 2 has continued to see its business grow each passing day. Now, after a two week run at the box office, reports state that PS-2 has managed to cross the Rs. 300 cr mark at the worldwide box office. Currently, the Mani Ratnam directorial that features an ensemble cast has continued to maintain its steak at the box office.
Going forward, Ponniyin Selvan 2, which has been nearly unstoppable, is expected to see further growth. Trade predictions state that PS-2 will continue to see collections coming in well into its third week running.
