While the nation is celebrated the festivities of Diwali, the filmmaker has another reason to celebrate. His last directorial Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has clocked three years of its release on October 28. The director Karan Johar says the Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Fawad Khan starrer remains closest to his heart.

Karan Johar shared a poster of the movie on Instagram and wrote, “A film closest to my heart....had the best time filming it and have indelible memories! Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was a box office success but was mired in controversy. After the relations with Pakistan worsened, netizens and film body asked ban on Pakistani artists and wanted Karan Johar to not release the film since it featured Fawad Khan. After much controversy, many of Fawad's scenes were deleted from the film. The film revolved around unrequited love.
