The much-anticipated biopic, 800: The Unknown Story, recounting the life of legendary Sri Lankan spin bowler Muttiah Muralitharan, directed by M.S. Sripathy, starring Madhur Mittal, has garnered widespread acclaim since its theatrical release. The movie is gearing up for an exclusive streaming debut on JioCinema on December 2.

The cricket maestro Muttiah Muralitharan, the only player to achieve the remarkable feat of 800 test wickets, disclosed that lead actor Madhur Mittal had experienced an accident, a revelation unknown to the rest of the team. Revealing how Madhur brilliantly enacted his bowling action, Muttiah Muralitharan revealed, “Madhur had a bit of a setback with his elbow in a car crash, but he chose to keep it under wraps from me, the director, and the entire team. My bowling style is very difficult to copy. However, it is because of his mishap that he was able to copy the action so well. It is a big coincidence if I relate this to my life.”

He further added, “We auditioned so many people and it was really surprising to know this fact while our cast was locked. I feel it is the faith and destiny that brings you where you are.”

800: The Unknown Story will premiere exclusively on JioCinema and audiences can stream the same for free from December 2 onwards.
