This week’s release Ghoomer, a sports drama that showcases the journey of an aspiring cricketer, whose simple story turns into a tale of courage and inspiration, has been winning hearts of many. With Saiyami Kher playing the lead role, Abhishek Bachchan plays her tough but inspiring coach, and it seems that the actor’s fans wanted to catch him on the big screen and planned a special screening. And, Junior Bachchan decided to surprise his fans by attending this special fan screening in Mumbai.

As a surprise for the excited fans who ended up booking the entire theatre for Ghoomer, Abhishek Bachchan was seen spending quality time and mingling with them. He even cut celebratory cakes, signed autographs and took pictures with them. Taking to Instagram with this enthusiasm filled Ghoomer fan screening, Abhishek said, "My heartfelt thanks to all of you who came together and shared your love. Being a part of this was truly touching and meant a lot to me."

It’s just been day one of Ghoomer’s release in theatres and it has already gone on to earn critical acclaim along with the audiences’ love on social media. Ghoomer has also been trending on social media this week.

Directed by R Balki, Ghoomer is a tale of an inspiring cricketer in Saiyami Kher who encounters brutal fate. Abhishek Bachchan, who essays the role of a coach, trains her to accept her incapabilities and inspires her to regain her passion for her dreams to represent India in women’s cricket. Along with Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher, the film also features Shabana Azmi, Angad Bedi, among others with Amitabh Bachchan in a cameo. The film released on August 18.
