Aditya Dhar opens up about turning producer with Yami Gautam starrer Article 370; says, “It helped me grow as a human being”

Article 370 is a high-octane action political drama, headlined by Yami Gautam and directed by National Award-winner Aditya Suhas Jambhale.

After directing the successful URI: The Surgical Strike, Aditya Dhar has now taken on the role of a producer and writer for Article 370. The high-octane action political drama is said to be inspired by real life incidents and stars Yami Gautam, and Priyamani in key roles. Being Aditya's maiden production, Article 370 has been an exciting experience for Dhar.

Talking about the difference between being a director and a producer, Aditya Dhar said, "I believe that direction is something where you are always looking for ideas and suggestions from your team. A great director is someone who has a great team. But as a producer, I am one of those people who is a part of the team that gives suggestions. I am not seeking those suggestions but giving them. It kind of changes your role and makes you way more solution-oriented. You also understand how you can make things easy for your director. That was one main objective I had as a producer."

Elaborating further he added, “As a director, you seek guidance, as a producer, you guide. It is about giving your team the best you can with whatever constraints you have. You have their back. The difference is that a director drives the project, but a producer supports it." On his journey with his first production, Aditya shared, "Article 370 helped me grow as a human being. It helped me understand the problem which as a director you don't get to see."

From Jio Studios and the maker of Uri: The Surgical Strike, comes Article 370, a high-octane action political drama, headlined by Yami Gautam and directed by National Award-winner Aditya Suhas Jambhale. Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar, the film is slated to release in cinemas worldwide on February 23, 2024.
