Actor Randeep Hooda is making headlines with his jaw-dropping transformation for his upcoming role in the biopic Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. Hooda, who will portray the freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, recently shared a shocking photo on his Instagram handle, leaving netizens stunned.

In the photo, Randeep can be seen standing shirtless, revealing his drastic weight loss transformation. The actor appears visibly undernourished, with a significantly slimmer frame, frail limbs, and an almost-visible rib cage. Captioning the photo "KAALA PAANI," he accompanied it with hashtags like "#SwatantryaVeerSavarkar" and "#WhoKilledHisStory."

Reportedly, the 47-year-old actor has shed an impressive 30 kg to authentically embody the late freedom fighter during his time at the cellular jail in Andaman. A couple of days ago, Ranjit Savarkar, the grandson of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, commended Randeep for his dedication towards the role, expressing gratitude for bringing his grandfather's story to life on the silver screen.

Fans and followers flooded the comments section with praises and admiration for Randeep’s remarkable transformation. One user likened him to the "Christian Bale of Bollywood," while another expressed anticipation for an emotional cinematic experience upon watching the film.

This isn't the first time Randeep has undergone such a dramatic physical transformation for a role. In the 2016 film Sarbjit, he underwent a similar weight fluctuation.

Coming back to Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, which will also mark Randeep’s directorial debut, it is scheduled to release on March 22, 2024.
