The throwback picture captured Ali Fazal in a joyous moment as he received an autograph from Robert De Niro. In his post, Fazal expressed gratitude to Dia Mirza for encouraging him to seize the opportunity, admitting his usual shyness in approaching admired figures for autographs or photos.

Reflecting on the encounter, Fazal wrote, “#Throwback to the 1st time i met him . God , i remember how you @diamirzaofficial took me there.. cant thank you enough. I was too shy to ever step into a room to take autographs and photos with people i admire. I still am socially very awkward when i have to play myself . Lol. But to Greatness and its infections.”

Amidst his personal reflections, Fazal also teased his upcoming project, Lahore 1947, helmed by renowned filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi. Set against the backdrop of the partition, the film features an ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Mona Singh, and Abhimanyu Singh. Backed by Aamir Khan Productions, Lahore 1947 promises to be a poignant drama exploring historical narratives and human resilience.
