On the occasion of veteran actress-director Soni Razdan's 67th birthday, her daughter Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to share a rare childhood picture featuring herself and her mother. The photo shows a young Alia sitting on Razdan's lap at her birthday party, seeking protection from an inflated Godzilla.

Alia captioned the post, "On your birthday I look back at one of my birthdays.. I spent the whole party sitting on your lap cause I was too scared of the inflated Godzilla which I drove you up the wall to get me.. But nonetheless I look perfectly content and happy and clearly there’s no place I’d rather be..”

The Highway actress further added, “Happy birthday mothership .. we’d be nothing without you.. grateful for you every single minute every single day.. love you.”

Alia's sister Shaheen Bhatt also shared a touching message for her mother on her birthday, posting a glimpse of their recent European vacation. "Centre of my universe – then, now, always. Happy Birthday ma," Shaheen wrote.

Razdan's fans and followers also flooded her social media pages with birthday wishes. "Happy birthday Soni ma'am," wrote one fan. "You are the epitome of grace and beauty," commented another fan. "Wishing you a very happy birthday, Soni Razdan," wrote a third fan.

Razdan is a respected actress and screenwriter who has worked in both Hindi and English films. She has appeared in films like 36 China Town, Saaransh and Raazi. She is also known for her work on television shows like Buniyaad, and Love Ka Hai Intezaar, among others.

On the work front, Razdan was last seen in the Netflix film Sardar Ka Grandson, alongside Arjun Kapoor and Neena Gupta. She will be next seen in Pippa, which stars Ishaan Khattar and Mrunal Thakur.
