Alia Bhatt opens up about daughter Raha’s career path; says, “Tu toh scientist banegi”

Last year, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor joyfully welcomed their baby girl, whom they lovingly named Raha. While the couple has kept their daughter away from the public eye, Alia has occasionally shared a few glimpses of their little bundle of joy. The actress has been open about her feelings as a mother and recently disclosed the potential career path she envisions for Raha in the future.

As Alia eagerly awaits the release of her highly anticipated family entertainer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, she took the opportunity to talk about her baby daughter during a promotional event. Reflecting on her daughter's future, Alia expressed that she sees Raha possibly growing up to become a scientist. With a smile, she shared, “When I look at my daughter and say, ‘Tu toh scientist banegi’.”

For the unversed, Ranbir and Alia welcomed Raha in November 2022, and made the announcement through social media. To announce the name of her daughter and explain the meaning behind it, Alia dropped an elaborate post.

On the work front, Alia Bhatt will next be seen in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani alongside Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. The film is slated to release in theatres on July 28, 2023. In her pipeline, she also has director Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zaraa with Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra. Apart from this, she also will make her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone.

On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar alongside Shraddha Kapoor. The film was directed by Luv Ranjan, produced by Luv Films’, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, and presented by T- Series’ Bhushan Kumar. TJMM received rave reviews and did well at the box office. Ranbir also has Animal in the pipeline alongside Rashmika Mandanna. Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Tripti Dimri.
