Alia Bhatt, last seen in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani in 2023, shares a close bond with her sister Shaheen Bhatt, who has been open about her struggles with mental health. Shaheen battled depression for five years. Recently, Alia discussed how she supports Shaheen in coping with depression, expressing her desire for her sister to feel comfortable talking to her.

In a recent appearance on the chat show What Women Want, Kareena Kapoor Khan asked Alia how she has helped comfort Shaheen during her mental health journey.

Alia noted that her approach to comforting her sister Shaheen has evolved over the years. The Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani star mentioned that she initially encouraged Shaheen to go out and participate in various activities. However, she eventually came to understand that Shaheen's recovery from depression wasn't a "quick fix."

Alia recalled that Shaheen was clinically diagnosed with depression and shared that the symptoms of her condition began to manifest at a young age.

Alia said, “She has been living with it for a very long time moving and powering through life. I have great admiration for the way she does it but now my response to her is that I just want her to be able to talk to me. I don't expect her to say something immediately. All she needs is to sit next to her and hear her.”

On the work front, Alia Bhatt is set to star in Yash Raj Films' production Alpha, directed by Shiv Rawail, which also features Sharvari in a leading role. Promoted as the first female-led film in the YRF Spy Universe, Alpha is scheduled for release on December 25, 2025.

Additionally, Alia is involved in Love & War, where she will share the screen with her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal. She has also signed on for another upcoming love story project.

Alia Bhatt married Ranbir Kapoor on April 14, 2022, and the couple has a daughter, Raha, who is nearly two years old. Kareena is Alia's sister-in-law.
