Throughout the year 2022, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt made headlines for various reasons, including welcoming her first child, a baby girl. Two months after the release of Brahmastra, the actress gave birth to her first child with her husband and actor Ranbir Kapoor. Speaking of motherhood, the new mommy opened up about how it has changed her life.

For the unversed, Alia Bhatt recently gave an interview to Variety discussing her Oscar and BAFTA contender film Gangubai Kathiawadi. During her conversation, the portal asked the actress to shed some light on being a mother and how it has brought changes in her life and the process of signing a project. In her response, Bhatt asserted, “Motherhood has changed me so much in the span of — I mean, it’s, as I give this interview, it’s barely been a month, just over three weeks, but I don’t know about how it’s going to change the way I pick my roles yet because I haven’t gotten to thinking about that.”

Elaborating her take further on the same, the Dear Zindagi actress added, “But it’s changed the way I look at everything. I just think my heart is a little bit more open than it was before, I don’t know what change that is going to bring about. But we’ll see. I’m excited to see how that journey pans out.”

Alia and Ranbir announced their pregnancy this year in June this year. Later, on November 6, they gave birth to a baby girl. The couple named their daughter Raha.

Coming to the professional front, the 29-year-old actress was last seen in Brahmastra, which was released on September 9. She has a bunch of projects in her kitty, including Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Directed by Karan Johar, the forthcoming rom-com is slated to release on April 28, 2023.
