Amitabh Bachchan congratulates contributors of Corona Crisis Charity set up by Chiranjeevi; says they have collected Rs. 8 crores

Amitabh Bachchan was all praise for actor and friend Chiranjeevi who co-founded the Corona Crisis Charity to help daily wage earners in Tollywood. Amitabh Bachchan took to his Twitter to congratulate the actor and all those involved in contributing.

The superstar took to Twitter to congratulate the contributors of CCC. “I understand #CoronaCrisisCharity was set up with @KChirutweets ( chiranjeevi) as chairman to aid the daily wage film workers in Telugu States. Over Rs.8 Cr has been collected through contributions from several celebrities, actors & good samaritans. #CCC is using the contributions to door deliver essential supplies and food to nearly 12000 daily wage workers & their families for a month or longer if necessary. I congratulate all the contributors and the entire team of #CoronaCrisisCharity involved in this humanitarian mission. Keep up the amazing work!” he wrote.

The CCC was set up during the time of this crisis to support daily wage earners of the film industry. Apart from monetary help, the charity is also providing essential food supplies to the workers.

Recently, Chiranjeevi took to Twitter to share a video of bags of rice being delivered to a facility. He wrote, "The food supplies being distributed to the daily wage workers of the film industry by #CoronaCrisisCharity is being handled with all due care and being delivered to the needy. I thank everyone involved in this humanitarian mission."
