Amitabh Bachchan expressed his gratitude towards Elon Musk for restoring his Twitter blue tick by singing 'Tu Cheez Badi Hai Musk Musk'.

On Friday morning, countless Twitter users were surprised to find that their Blue Tick, a symbol that previously indicated the authenticity of their account, had disappeared. This was after Twitter's CEO, Elon Musk, had declared that as of April 20, accounts not subscribed to Twitter Blue would lose their Blue Tick. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan was also one of those countless Twitter users, who lost his blue tick. However, the microblogging site has restored the verification tick after the veteran actor’s hilarious reaction to the removal.

On Saturday, AB took to his Twitter handle and tweeted a few lines in Bhojpuri, which translates roughly in English to, “Hey Musk brother! I thank you very much! The blue tick has been added in front of my name.” Later, he gave a quirky twist to the 1994 film Mohra’s popular song ‘Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast’. He added, “What to say now brother! I want to sing a song! Do you want to listen? Listen then: "Tu cheez badee hai musk musk ... too cheez badee hai, musk.”

For the unversed, the original song was picturised on Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon. Directed by Rajiv Rai, the film also starred Suniel Shetty, Naseeruddin Shah, Gulshan Grover, and Paresh Rawal among others.

Twitter eliminated the traditional verified blue ticks from all accounts recently, leaving only those individual Twitter users who subscribe to Twitter Blue - a monthly service costing around ₹650-700 - with the verified blue check marks. Many other celebrities also responded to this recent change, including Shahid Kapoor and Aditi Rao Hydari.

Coming back to Amitabh, the 80-year-old actor was last seen in Uunchai. He has a bunch of projects in his kitty including Section 84 and Project K.
