Ananya Panday is excited about the release of Dream Girl 2, as she cannot wait to see her fans viewing her in a different avatar. While she is expected to feature alongside Ayushmann Khurrana for the first time, the actress will also be experimenting with the world of web shows. Long time ago, Prime Video had announced a collaboration with the SOTY 2 actress for her debut series titled Call Me Bae and during a recent event, the actress gave her fans a sneak peek into the world of the show.
Readers would be aware that Prime Video had introduced this quirky series in a quirky way. Featuring Ananya Panday in the role of Bae, the show revolves around the life of a billionaire fashionista who sets out on a journey of self-discovery after she gets disowned by her wealthy parents because of a scandal. While Ananya Panday maintained to reveal as little info as possible, as she maintained that she couldn’t talk about it since it is still in process, the actress revealed that she is excited about doing the show.
In an interview with ETimes, Ananya Panday said, "I'm doing comedy in that. Usually, in the comedy films I've done, the comedy is always happening around me, and I'm only reacting to it. But in this one, I'm kind of heading the comedy, or doing most of the comedy. That's what I am most excited about”. When she was further asked about the special appearances on the show, she added, “There are actually quite a few fun cameos. Not star ones, but really exciting ones."
Call Me Bae is said to be backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and is also expected to co-star popular comedian-actor Vir Das.
