Anubhav Sinha talks about the reason behind holding special screenings for Taapsee Pannu starrer Thappad : Bollywood News

Anubhav Sinha has been giving us some spectacular films from the past couple of years, from Mulk to Article 15 to Thappad. Thappad talks about highlighting the issue of domestic violence that women have to go through on a daily basis and are asked to brush it off under the pretext of their husbands loving them. With a strong message, the trailer of the film is being appreciated by the audiences and movie critics alike.

Speaking about the film, he says he essentially made this film for men and not women. He also revealed that he will be holding special screenings in the cities of Mumbai, Bhopal, Lucknow, Delhi, and Jaipur. Anubhav says that they are still trying to lock in on the audience, a few media persons will most likely be invited with the rest of the crowd comprising of local artists from the fields of literature and music. He says that the movie talks about a plethora of issues and will help people differentiate between the correct and incorrect behaviour since we tend to gaslight without realising.
