The beautiful Punjabi kudi Anushka Sharma, who made her 'debut' as a producer with the hard hitting NH10 has now kick-started the shooting of her new production
venture titled Phillauri on the same day as Baisakhi, which was yesterday. The film stars Anushka Sharma, Diljit Dosanjh and Suraj Sharma in the lead roles.
While Anushka Sharma hoped that the goodwill and positive energies of Baisakhi will definitely impact the sets of Phillauri as well, Diljit Dosanjh called it a double celebration because the
start of Phillauri's shoot and Baisakhi were on the same day. Meanwhile, the film's youngest star, Suraj Sharma said that he was revving up to jump on this adventure.
Co-produced by Clean Slate Films (Anushka's production banner with her brother Karnesh Sharma) and Fox Star Studios, Phillauri is being directed by debutant Anshai Lal and has been written
by Anvita Dutt.
The film has been set in Phillaur, Punjab.
