Anushka Sharma recently returned from London to begin promotions of her film, Sui Dhaaga- Made In India. The film stars Varun Dhawan opposite her and the trailer was launched this morning in Mumbai. As the trailer looks promising, the actors talked about everything from film to trolls during the media interaction. Anushka Sharma has been spending time in London with hubby Virat Kohli. Anushka even responded to the backlash she received after posing with Team India at the High Commission of India in London.
Anushka Sharma was recently included by BCCI in their Team India picture. The actress, who is married to Indian Cricket Team Captain Virat Kohli, was the only relative of a cricketer given the chance to be in the picture. She was seen standing in the middle of the picture with Virat. This picture came after BCCI, reportedly, set a new rule that wives, relatives and girlfriends of the cricketers won’t be allowed in the camp until the end of the three Test matches against England. After this picture, the actress and BCCI began receiving flak.
Anushka, at the trailer launch, responded to the trolling by saying she did not want to give any more attention to the topic. “About this incident, whoever had to make a clarification, the clarification has been made. This was a trolling activity. I don’t react to trolls and give any attention to them. Whatever happened had happened within the guidelines and will always do so. Let’s not make a hue and cry about a topic of no substance," she said.
Coming back on the work front, Sui Dhaaga – Made In India is helmed by Sharat Katariya. Produced by YRF and Maneesh Sharma, the film is slated to release on September 28, 2018.
