In an exclusive video interview with Bollywood Hungama’s Hangout, Dulquer Salmaan expressed deep gratitude for the film Ustad Hotel, stating that it marked a turning point in his career from the beginning. He said, “Right in the beginning there was Ustad Hotel. I think it just endured me to the audiences to the point that they felt like I was one of some kid in their house. I have seen that film save my career multiple times. Like if I have a terrible film that came out, this movie will play on a Sunday on TV and then people again find their love back for me. So, I think that there are those milestone movies that kind of change the course of your career.”

Dulquer Salmaan also touched upon other significant milestones in his filmography. The actor said, “I think Bangalore Days was one, Charlie was one. I am very sure Charlie was something that I think a lot of directors in other languages found a spark and started imagining me in certain roles.”

Speaking about his current projects, the versatile actor was recently seen in the Netflix original show Guns And Gulaabs. Additionally, Salmaan's recent Pan-India release, King Of Kotha, has hit theatres, generating excitement among fans and film enthusiasts.
