South Korean female group BLACKPINK is over a week away from the release of their long-awaited second full-length album BORN PINK. As the album arrives on September 16, the group will kick off their first world tour in October 2022. Ahead of the album release, the group has unveiled the title poster of the lead single, 'Shut Down'.

The announcement along with the release of the poster was made on September 7 midnight KST.

The pre-release single 'Pink Venom' was unveiled on August 16. The group performed the song at MTV Video Music Awards on August 28, 2022. The song debuted at No. 1 on both the Global 200 and the Global Excl. U.S. charts with the second-largest worldwide weekly streaming total since the charts were introduced in September 2020. This makes BLACKPINK the first female group in history and ‘Pink Venom’ the first K-pop song released in 2022 to top the Global 200.

The world tour will begin with two dates in Seoul, before heading to North America, the UK and Europe before the end of 2022. The shows will then continue across the globe until the middle of 2023.
