The Bollywood Hungama Style Icons Summit and Awards 2024 began with a bang earlier today with the panel discussion on ‘Social media and style trends: Unravelling the Insta effect’. It was graced by Ridhima Pandit, Anushka Sen and Avika Gor. The gorgeous actors talked about fashion shopping and they gave interesting replies when asked if they go to expensive showrooms of prominent brands to buy clothes.
Anushka Sen went first and she said, “Yes, I am a big-time shopper. I love that.”
Ridhima Pandit replied, “I am not that fashion-conscious. I am not trying to be holier than thou. I like it but I don’t have the knowledge. Hence, I always ask my stylists. Of course, I do have a few of my favourite brands. But I am not brand-conscious about what I am wearing. Like, today I am wearing Zara. But many of my friends are into Gucci’s and all. Once in a while, I’d like to own it. However, if I don’t have it, I am happy with it.”
Avika Gor, meanwhile, exulted, “I come from a very humble background. Hence, spending money on clothes doesn’t work. It does not make sense. Lekin agar gifts mein kapde aate hai, toh main mana nahin karungi (smiles)! But my boyfriend spends a lot of money on me. Uss hisaab se, I wear happy, rich people stuff. Otherwise, I wouldn’t spend (on expensive clothes). Not at all.”
The second edition of the Macho Hint presents Bollywood Hungama Style Icons Summit and Awards 2024 in association with Cinema Waale Film and Television Productions LLP and Across Media Solution, is slated to be held on May 2, 2024, at Taj Lands’ End in Mumbai. The highlights of the award show apart from the invigorating panel discussions are expected to be big names like Ajay Devgn, Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor and so many more.
