The annual soiree is in its 71st year and representing some of the most sought-after brands, Bollywood was represented by the likes of Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Nandita Das, Rasika Dugal, Tillotama Shome. Fashioning their presence and documenting them on Instagram were the glamorous divas, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut and Mahira Khan. Deepika, Sonam and Mahira brought back the classic white top-blue denim combination with oodles of contemporary elements. While Deepika and Mahira flaunted their svelte frames in flared denim with white tops, Sonam aced it with high waisted denim from her husband Anand Ahuja’s homegrown label, Bhane. Another remarkable feature of this eternal trend was the inclusion of snazzy stilettos – Mahira’s embellished glitter Gucci pumps while Sonam’s Sergio Rossi crystal leather flats.
Deepika, Sonam and Huma took to the eternal trend of stripes. Deepika pulled quite a move by pulling a skirt over a dress, both in stripes. Sonam too went down the striped lane with an Emilia Wickstead bold striped voluminous dress. Huma wore a striped Mother of Pearl creation with quirky accessories from Misho Designs.
Sonam Kapoor took to the perennial polka dots for the Festival de Cannes 2018 - a Madison polka dot dress in satin silk from Mother of Pearl featuring long sleeves and split cuff.

Taking power dressing to a whole new level of sassiness were Deepika, Aishwarya and Mahira. For Deepika, it was a Victoria Hayes, FW18 Gemma ultraviolet suit while Mahira chose an Ermanno Scervino creation.
Aishwarya quirked up her black pantsuit Giorgio Armani with Racine Carrée sandals.

Making a riveting style statement in metallic hues with a generous dash of glamorous glitter were Deepika, Kangana, Huma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Deepika chose a gold Alberta Ferretti flowy dress, Huma opted for a beige-platinum chip bespoke Nikhil Thampi pantsuit. Aishwarya opted for a mermaid-inspired Manish Arora dress and a jacket over her crisp separates.
Kangana pulled all plugs with Nedret Taciroglu beaded jumpsuit and a Halpern Studio sequined dress.
Cannes 2018 Trend Report: Bridal couture on the red carpet
Aishwarya, Deepika and Sonam opted for bridal couture for their red carpet appearances. Deepika chose an embroidered Zuhair Murad ivory gown.
The newlywed Sonam chose a customised Ralph & Russo lehenga and a Vera Wang nude-canary yellow gown. Aishwarya chose a Rami Kadi strapless gown.

Quirky prints and appliques found takers in Deepika, Mahira and Kangana. While Deepika chose a pink-black Philosophy summery maxi dress, Mahira chose a Leonard Paris silk pyjama suit.
Aishwarya pulled the ultimate style coup with a Michael Cinco butterfly printed infinity gown.
Meanwhile, Kangana chose an Elisabetta Franchi powder blue mini dress with appliques.
