The 75th Cannes Film Festival kicked off on Tuesday with the usual flash and splendour, filled with a red carpet full of superstars. India is the 'Country of Honour' for the 75th year of the film festival, and Indian bigwigs made a mark at the gala, from extravagant red carpet arrivals to movie and trailer launches. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver a video message during the opening of the Indian pavilion at Cannes 2022 Day 2 on Wednesday. Some of the delegates likely to attend include Shekhar Kapur, Prasoon Joshi, Ricky Kej, Tamannaah Bhatia, A R Rahman, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The unveiling of the Indian pavilion will feature Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone, who is presently acting as a jury member in Cannes.
Deepika Padukone is a member of the jury for the Cannes Film Festival 2022 in France, and her fashion choices have gotten a lot of attention. The actress offered us another breath-taking look on the second day. Deepika sported an all-black ensemble for the launch of the Indian pavilion at Cannes Day 2 on Wednesday. Her ensemble included an asymmetric fitting jacket with open pleats on the right side and a hidden metal closure in the front made of double weave silk with stretch elastane. She wore it with the same silk fabric high waist trousers. Her outfit is from the brand ArdAzAei.
Deepika accessorised her all-black ensemble with a Cartier open end panther design necklace, which was her lone piece of jewellery. Deepika chose bold red lipstick to lend a splash of colour to her all-black ensemble, making her look sensual. Her hair was tied in a messy bun with a few strands on her face, Her appearance was flawlessly finished by a white manicure, accentuated cheekbones, and filled in brows.
The stunning actress also made her first red carpet appearance on day 1 at Cannes 2022 with other jury members. She was joined by French actor and President of the Jury of the 75th Cannes Film Festival Vincent Lindon and other jury members including French director Lady Ly, Iranian film director Asghar Farhadi, British actress Rebecca Hall, Swedish actress Noomi Rapace, Norwegian film director Joachim Trier, Italian actress Jasmine Trinca, and US film director Jeff Nichols.
In terms of her acting career, Deepika was most recently seen in Shakun Batra's Gehraiyaan. She will next appear in Pathaan alongside Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. Aside from that, she has Amitabh Bachchan's The Intern, Hrithik Roshan's Fighter, and Prabhas' Project K.
