Earlier, we had reported that Katrina Kaif was going to receive the prestigious Smita Patil Memorial Award for her contribution to the Indian cinema.

The event took place on really excited to receive the honour. For the event, she wore a dark green September 19 where Katrina Kaif looked and gold embroidered floor length jacket and lehenga skirt from Sabyasachi Mukherjee's fall 2016 collection. The award was presented to her by honourable Minister of Road transport, Nitin Gadkari.

On the work front, Katrina Kaif was last seen in Nitya Mehra's Baar Baar Dekho which didn't do well. She will now start prepping for YRF's next film Tiger Zinda Hai starring opposite Salman Khan which is scheduled to release on December 22, 2017.
