We all know that Rajinikanth is not just a superstar, but also an institution in himself. So, when the news of Robot 2 the sequel of his smash hit film Robot was announced, it only meant joy to all his fans. This time round, the film's sequel also has a 'strong' Bollywood angle in the form of Akshay Kumar, who plays the villain in the film.

In order to shoot for the film, Akshay Kumar reached Chennai yesterday morning and will head to the film's sets today. He was greeted to an extremely warm welcome at the Chennai airport by the airport staff. The film will be shot non-stop for the next couple of weeks.

If the reports are to be believed, then, what lies in store is a high octane action sequence between Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, which will cost the makers a whopping Rs. 20 crores, although there is no official announcement or confirmation of the amount. While the said set has been constructed in Poonamalle (West Chennai), action director Stunt Silva will be in charge of training local stuntmen, who will in turn be supervised by the Hollywood action directors.
