Freida Pinto was the first Indian to hit the 65th Cannes Film Festival red carpet. She was also among the first fashion forces on the red carpet at the opening ceremony of the 2012 Cannes Film Festival and the premiere of Wes Anderson's latest film Moonrise Kingdom.
Freida sparkled at the Moonrise Kingdom premiere in a gown designed by Michael Angel, with a strapless beaded bodice, a pale pink satin skirt with a peplum effect. She flaunted her right leg a la Angelina Jolie.
Freida then changed into a black sequin Versace gown with a sheer neckline and long sleeves paired with black pumps, for the Opening Night Dinner held at Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.
