Daniel Radcliffe is barely recognizable in his Weird Al transformation for Yankovic’s biopic in leaked photos

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe appeared unrecognizable in the recent first on-set photos from his upcoming Roku biopic Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, based on the prolific musician behind humorous songs like Eat It and Amish Paradise. The wizard boy will portray the role of Grammy-winning musician "Weird Al" Yankovic.

In the recent pictures shared by FilmUpdates on their Twitter handle, Daniel Radcliffe looked completely unrecognizable as he stepped out in his "Weird Al" Yankovic look, dressed in a wild patterned shirt sporting a large curly wig and mustache resembling the comedic musician.

The film, which began production earlier this month in Los Angeles, is penned by Yankovic and Eric Appel, with Eric also directing and executive producing the film. The feature will be available exclusively on The Roku Channel. Roku announced Daniel Radcliffe had landed the role in a January release detailing the upcoming biopic which is backed by Funny or Die and Tango.

“And I am absolutely thrilled that Daniel Radcliffe will be portraying me in the film,” Yankovic said in a release sharing his excitement to have Daniel Radcliffe on board. “I have no doubt whatsoever that this is the role future generations will remember him for.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the description for the film says it “holds nothing back, exploring every facet of Yankovic’s life, from his meteoric rise to fame with early hits like ‘Eat It’ and ‘Like a Surgeon’ to his torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle.” The movie also promises to bring "audiences on a truly unbelievable journey through Yankovic's life and career, from gifted child prodigy to the greatest musical legend of all time."
