While the film is embroiled in a spate of controversies, it was learned that the film has also been postponed.

Deepika Padukone’s xXx co-star Ruby Rose lends support amid Padmavati controversy

While the actress continues to stay positive and promotes the movie, Deepika Padukone has also found support in Hollywood film xXx: Return of Xander Cage co-star Ruby Rose. Shocked by the whole scenario, Ruby praised Deepika's strength amidst the controversy. "I am in shock at reading what my dear friend is going through but in absolute awe of her strength and courage. Deepika you are one of the strongest women I know," Ruby Rose tweeted.

On Sunday, it was announced that Padmavati has been voluntarily postponed. The film, which was supposed to release on December 1, won’t be releasing on the scheduled date anymore. Padmavati stars Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmini, Shahid Kapoor as Maha Rawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Sultan Alauddin Khilji. The new release date of Padmavati is yet to be announced.
