Ekta Kapoor’s motherhood by surrogacy has taken even her closest friends by surprise. Apparently Ekta had not confided in anyone except her brother Tusshar Kapoor and her closest friend Karan Johar. “Besides these two (Tusshar and Karan Johar) only her parents knew about it. Ekta was superstitious about motherhood. Until the surrogate child (a baby boy) came home she wanted to keep it all under wraps,” says the source.
The yearning for mother hood had started gathering momentum after Ekta’s brother Tusshar brought home a baby boy via surrogacy. “In no time at all Tusshar’s son Laksshya became the apple of Ekta’s eye. She couldn’t tear herself away from the child. This is when she decided she would have her own baby. When she expressed her wish to her parents they were all for it,” says the source.
Interestingly Ekta’s closest friend Karan Johar also opted for surrogate motherhood recently.
