The glitz and glamour of the Cannes Film Festival reached new heights this year with a bunch of Bollywood actresses making their red-carpet debut. One of them was Esha Gupta. Now, after her debut, Esha Gupta spoke about her experience and confessed that she did not like anyone’s look. Not only this but she also rooted for Anushka Sharma, who is all set to walk the Cannes red carpet for the first time this year.
During an interview with News18, Gupta asserted, “I want to be very honest and say that I’m not sure I liked anyone else’s look but mine (laughs). Having said that, the one person I’m really looking forward to is Anushka Sharma.”
Speaking of Anushka Sharma’s debut, the Raaz actress explained, “I heard that she will be walking the red carpet. She has her own style and understands her style. Her style really speaks of her personality. She doesn’t follow fashion. I’m just a fan of Anushka when it comes to her acting skills and fashion sensibilities. I know for a fact that she’s not going to disappoint.”
Reflecting on her unforgettable experience, the Baadshaho actress shared her heartfelt connection to the Cannes Film Festival, emphasising the cherished memory of watching a film alongside Hollywood actor Johnny Depp. Recounting the episode, she fondly states, “Since I was part of the official delegation from the Indian government’s side representing Indian cinema, I was lucky to be in the same room as Johnny Depp and other amazingly talented people on the first day. We saw the premiere of his film, Jeanne du Barry. It was really good.”
