Talented and rising star of Bollywood, Alaya F, is known for her role in Jawaani Jaanemann with Saif Ali Khan and Freddy opposite Kartik Aaryan. In a recent interview at the Bollywood Hungama Best Actresses Round Table 2022, when asked about how her experience has been with directors at work, Freddy actress, Alaya F said, “For me it depends on who is directing me. In my first film, when Nitin sir was directing me, I think I was more about trying to feel it, as I thought that it is what you are supposed to do as an actor because it was the first time I was doing it”.

Sharing her experience with Anurag Kashyap for Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat, she shared, “The second time, I was shooting, it was with Anurag Kashyap sir. With him, it was different. What I was doing before ‘action’, was learning the new lines that he had randomly given me 10 seconds ago. His direction was a totally different learning. I think working with Anurag sir is when I started figuring out how to get my first two three takes to be the best. This is because he will not give more than that; he just tends to move on. So, for me it depends on who is directing me because I am a total director’s actor. I just give myself in whatever they are expecting of me or however they are directing”.

Agreeing to what Alaya had to say, Huma Qureshi, who has also worked with Anurag Kashyap and had similar experience said, “It is true what you are saying because half of the time when we go on the sets, it is like we read the scripts and form a scenario in our head. It is only when you go; you understand what the director is trying to create. I usually figure it out after two days as it takes almost that much time to figure out the difference between my interpretation of the scene and what actually is needed.”
