Bollywood actress Shreya Dhanwanthary has recently started in the psycho-thriller Chup: The Revenge of the Artist. The film, which also starred Dulquer Salmaan and Sunny Deol in pivotal roles, released on September 23. Directed by R Balki, Chup has managed to receive a positive response from the audience as well as the critics.

In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, when asked who, among her family members, was the most convinced about her getting into movies back when she was starting, Shreya replied, “Mum for sure, because dad was stil... he still thinks my IQ is getting wasted.”

She continued, “He still thinks ‘Aye you are rotting your brain over there. It’s getting... like not utilized or whatever.’ So, he thinks that. My sister was supportive, she was like ‘Yeah, it’s up to you. Whatever.’ Mom was like, ‘No, my daughter’s going to become a star.’”

When asked if her dad and sister are convinced now that she’s doing good workwise, she said, “They’re okay with it. They’re like ‘Okay, not bad. We’ll see what happens in future.’ But they’re happy now. It is an ongoing test.”
