Hrithik Roshan's transformation for his film Fighter has garnered widespread attention. Celebrity fitness trainer Kris Gethin recently sat down with Bollywood Hungama to disclose the actor's rigorous training. He revealed in the conversation that the actor began working out 5-6 months before filming.
In an extensive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Kris Gethin revealed that the actor has been training with him for over a decade now since 2011. “I had never really heard of him but when I met him for the first time, probably a month after that phone call, it was very special. I had no idea who he was,” he told us.
Hrithik Roshan began to train for Fighter 5-6 months before the shoot. He said, “He is 50 years old now. But, the great thing about Hrithik is that he has focused on his health span and his health more than anything. So, his body was able to change and adapt as it did 12-13 years ago. It felt that his body hadn't aged in that sense and it responded very well. He has prioritised his health over aesthetics and when you prioritise your health, the aesthetics come very easily.”
He added, "It wasn't easy for him. It was hard because you can't eat any bad food for months on end," and added, "His performance dictated how much hard work he put in prior."
Fighter was released in cinemas on January 25, 2024. The film, helmed by Siddharth Anand, stars Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi.
