EXCLUSIVE: Isha Koppikar regrets missing ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ for ‘Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat’; says, ‘you win some, you lose some’

In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, actress Isha Koppiker revealed that she missed Dil Chahta Hai opposite Saif Ali Khan for Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat.

Bollywood actress Isha Koppikar is best known for her performances in Don, D, Krishna Cottage, and Ek Vivaah Aisa Abhi, among many others. Though the actress took a break after the birth of her daughter in July 2014, she is all set to make a comeback. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actress opened up about her flouring career in the 1900s and early 2000s.

In the conversation, Koppikar candidly revealed that before Sonali Kulkarni, Dil Chahta Hai was offered to her. Interestingly, she was asked to share the biggest mistake she made in her Bollywood career. Though she resisted answering at first, the actress confessed that she “missed” Dil Chahta Hai. She asserted, “if I'm not mistaken Excel Entertainment, it [Dil Chahta Hai] was the first film and they had a timeline”.

The actress further added, “I [already] gave my dates to Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, and I said please wait”. With disappointment in her voice, the actress resonated her choice by saying that she stood by her morals and chose Pyaar Ishq Mohabbat over Dil Chahta Hai, which is a cult classic film now. She concluded and said, “you win some you lose some”.

Talking about Dil Chahta Hai, the enseble star cast of the coming-of-age film featured Aamir Khan, and Akshaye Khanna along with Saif Ali Khan. Meanwhile, Suneil Shetty and Arjun Rampal played the leads in Pyaar, Ishq Aur Mohabbat. Both films were released in 2000.
