EXCLUSIVE: Janhvi Kapoor thinks that the rat on the sets of Mili made her feel like a ‘Junior Artist’ : Bollywood News

Janhvi Kapoor recently received a lot of appreciation from audiences and industry insiders for her film Mili, which is a remake of the Malayalam film Helen. Considering that it is a survival drama, it wasn’t easy for the actress to shoot for the film. In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the actress had discussed about the varied challenges she had to face including shooting at insane freezing temperatures for the film. Adding a fun twist to the conversation was the Rapid Fire round where the actress opened about how a rat on the sets of the film, kept nibbling on her finger.

In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the actress had earlier discussed about how the rat remained to be the star of the film and how it was treated so well by the film’s team. Meanwhile, during this exclusive Rapid Fire round, she went on to speak about the rat saying, “In this one sequence, I had to take the rat out of the bag. And that rat kept nibbling on my finger. Firstly that rat made me feel like a junior artist. Secondly, it kept biting my finger. I was not happy,” asserted the actress.

For the uninitiated, during the same interview, Janhvi had spoken about the star treatment that the rat received which was way more than the one she received. She had said, “I must say that they exercised a lot of sensitivity with the rat and not so much with me. Because when I was shooting in the freezer, sometimes we'd be there in for hours and we'd have a 15-20 minute long takes in the freezer. After that, I'd come out and just like collapse. But when the rat came, it was the star of this set. Everybody was like ‘the rat is gonna feel really cold, so we can't do like long shorts’, ‘in one minute we'll have to cut because the rat needs to relax’. I was like the rat needs to relax? Your actor is dying!”

Mili marks her first collaboration with producer-father Boney Kapoor. Also starring Sunny Kaushal and Manoj Pahwa in the lead, the film is directed by Mathukutty Xavier, who also directed the original. The film released in theatres on November 4.
