EXCLUSIVE: Kiku Sharda says he hasn’t heard from Arnab Goswami or co for his spoof on The Kapil Sharma Show

Actor and comedian Kiku Sharda’s stint on The Kapil Sharma Show is loved by the fans. Not only he plays several roles on the show, his character Bachcha Yadav is quite famous. This past weekend, Kiku did a spoof on Republic TV journalist Arnab Goswami that left the audience in splits.

In the segment, the comedian said, “Welcome to Raddi News and I am Bachcha Yadav.” During the segment, he asks the guests Manoj Bajpayee and Anubhav Sinha if they would like tea or coffee. To which, comedian Krushna Abhishek responds, “The milkman did not come today.”

This response sends Kiku into frenzy as he starts yelling, “Breaking news. Our milkman has not arrived. Breaking news!!” The audience thoroughly enjoyed the segment and the clips of it are doing the rounds.

In a recent conversation with Bollywood Hungama, when asked if he has heard any response from Arnab or co, he simply said, “No, nothing. I haven’t heard anything as such.”

During the virtual conversation, Kiku Sharda was asked about playing safe with comedy and how he usually responds to the criticism. He said that though he is okay with people voicing their opinions when it gets nasty, it just doesn’t sit right with him. “I do receive messages about things. If you have not liked something, you can obviously go and talk about it. So, there is a way of talking about it as well. What I get upset about it is when you start using language which is not appropriate,” he said.

He added, “There are all kinds of humour we touch upon. It is okay to voice your opinion but sometimes people do get nasty with voicing their opinion. These types of messages have come but we spoof KBC, we spoof like the biggest of actors and we do the mimicry of them.”

Kiku Sharda spoke about how he gets approached for films in the comedy space but he hopes for more offers in the future too. He enjoys doing comedy and hopes that even in web space and TV, he gets more roles.
