EXCLUSIVE: “I was like Shah Rukh Khan from DDLJ,” says Warda Nadiadwala while talking about how she proposed Sajid Nadiadwala

Warda Nadiadwala is the wife of Hindi film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who has produced several hit films like the Baaghi series, Kick, Housefull and many more. However, not much is known about the producer’s life. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Warda Nadiadwala reveals how she proposed to Sajid Nadiadwala.

Talking about getting married to Sajid Nadiadwala, Warda said that she chased him for eight long years. “I have done plotting, planning and a lot of strategies and put in efforts to get him to say yes. For eight years I chased him,” she said.

Talking further about her ways to convince Sajid and his family, she said, “I was like Shah Rukh Khan from DDLJ. When his sister was getting married, I pampered his relatives and was even applying oil to his grandmother's hair. One day she asked me why I am being so nice and hospitable towards her and she said that she does not have any unmarried son. I told her to look beyond her sons and focus on her grandson and from that day onwards she did not speak to me.”

Wardha was a journalist when she met Sajid for the first time. She fell in love with him and pursued him relentlessly and the two got married in 2000 and are now parents to two kids.
