Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who has been promoting Heropanti 2 lately, recently made headlines for buying a mansion. It took 3 long years for the house to be get completed. The structure of the house is said to be inspired by his old house in the village. The actor has renovated the bungalow himself to get the perfect look of the house, just as he wanted. Nawazuddin Siddiqui has named his bungalow 'Nawab' in remembrance of his father. The actor said in a Bollywood Hungama interview that it wasn't because of a handful of commercial movies but a long career that led him to make his dream mansion.
Nawazuddin said, “Yeh toh maine chaar-paanch filmein ki hongi. Joh mera bungalow hai usse bhi bahut mehenga hai. Chaar-paanch filmon mein nahi banta woh. Dusri filmein joh hain, unmein bhi aisa nahi hai ke… Haan, kuch filmein hain jinmein paisa nahi hai, lekin mujhe achchi lag rahi hain, jaise Manto, toh maine free mein bhi ki hain, aur aage bhi karunga (These are just four or five films. My house costs more than that. I couldn’t have been able to afford it with just four or five films. There are some films that I’ve done for free, though, and I will continue to do this if I believe in them).”
He continued, “For example, commercial filmon mein bhi meaningful film bhi hoti hain, jaise Bajrangi Bhaijaan thi. Bahut kuch leke jaate hain aap, ghar jaate hain toh bahut kuch sochte hain aap. Judaav waali baat kar rahi hai woh film, agar tudaav wali baat kare, woh cinema nahi kuch aur hai (There are meaningful commercial films as well, like Bajrangi Bhaijaan. That’s a film that makes you think. It unites people. Films that divide people aren’t films).”
On the work front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui stars alongside Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria in Heropanti 2. The film releases on April 29, 2022.
