EXCLUSIVE: “I have been very professional all my life and always been on time”- Madhuri Dixit on professionalism in the industry

Madhuri Dixit is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming web series titled The Fame Game for Netflix. The suspenseful family drama marks the superstars foray into the digital platform. The series also brings together a brilliant ensemble cast that includes Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Suhasini Mulay, Muskkaan Jaferi, Lakshvir Saran, and Rajshri Deshpande in pivotal roles.

Madhuri Dixit plays the role of superstar Anamika Anand who goes missing. The police set out to find Anamika, who unearth a lot of secrets from the superstar's life. Soon the investigation goes from 'Where is Anamika Anand?' to 'Who is Anamika Anand?'. On the show, Madhuri mouths powerful dialogues, one of which is - "Newcomers ke saath tum kaise ho mujhe pata nahi, lekin iss film ke set pe you are not the only star. We are equal professionals”.

During an interaction with Bollywood Hungama when asked about her thoughts on the dialogue, she said, "Oh! I love that dialogue. I have been very professional all my life. I have always been on time. But oftentimes some actors come late. They are used to that. I let go of all my pent up feelings from all these years in that one line."

Sanjay Kapoor and Manav Kaul were also a part of the interview and were sitting on either sides of Madhuri. Reacting to Madhuri’s answer, Sanjay quipped, "Thank God. She did not look on either side. We come on time.” Madhuri agreed.

Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, written and showrunner by Sri Rao, and directed by Bejoy Nambiar and Karishma Kohli, the series will stream on Netflix from February 25.
