Zee TV’s reality show- Indian Pro Music League (IPML) continues to entertain the audience all through lockdown 2.0. Team UP Dabbangs' captain Payal Dev has been instrumental in her team's fantastic performance on the show, however not many people know how her journey from being a singer to a music composer has been very different.
Talking about the same, the singing star revealed, “In life, all you need is that one moment where you make certain critical choices, and your life takes a turn for the better. To be honest, I never planned on becoming a music composer, but with time, things started to fall in place for me and one thing led to another. When I launched my first music video, ‘Sajna Ve’ in 2017, I was so happy that audiences accepted me as a music composer and showered me with so much love for my song. It was my first composition and as Salman Bhai made a promise to me, he also shared my video too and all his fans and followers gave me so much love and respect. That’s when I thought, I should try harder and become a good music composer. In fact, I must thank Salman Bhai for always motivating me and pushing me to do bigger and better things. I have a special connection with him, from being a fan to singing a song for his film and now our association with Indian Pro Music League. It's really nice to have his support and I will be forever grateful to him.”
She further added, “I am a 90’s kid, I grew up listening and singing to Nadim-Shravan, Mithun and Jatin Lalit Ji’s music. All these legendary composers have been my inspiration when I was contemplating on becoming a music composer. Being a music composer and a singer are two different things. Being a music composer comes with a lot of responsibilities. To be honest, composing a track is far more difficult than singing and a music composer needs to be involved from the conception stage of a song till the execution. So, it is a lot of work, but I think I have earned a lot more respect and love after becoming a music composer and my life has totally changed. I must say that this was the best decision I have taken in my career and I hope my fans and followers keep showering me with love and respect and help UP Dabbangs win Indian Pro Music League.”
