Renowned interior designer and wife of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan has ventured into the world of hospitality with her much-anticipated restaurant, Torii. Launched around Valentine's Day 2024, Torii has already become a hotspot for Mumbai's elite, attracting celebrities like Karan Johar, Bhavana Pandey, and Maheep Kapoor. Now, Gauri has unveiled the restaurant's stunning interiors in a captivating video on Instagram, offering a glimpse into the world of opulence she has meticulously created.

Stepping into Torii is like entering a jewel box. The bar area sets the tone with its dramatic red and gold décor, bathed in a warm, inviting glow. Red and green, symbolizing vibrancy and serenity, become a recurring motif throughout the space. Emerald green plants of various sizes grace the walls, contrasting beautifully with the vibrant red tabletops and plush seating.

Shiny low ceilings adorned with intricate light fixtures add a touch of glamour, while floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows create an airy and light-filled atmosphere. Gold accents shimmer throughout the restaurant, adding a touch of opulence and sophistication.

Gauri, in her video, explains the philosophy behind the design: "Every element here has been chosen to create a warm and luxurious ambience. The signature colours of gold, red and green are very prominent throughout the space, creating an airy yet cosy atmosphere."

In a recent interview with Vogue India, Gauri expressed her excitement about this new venture: "We're just getting started; the learnings are yet to come. I'm excited to see what this journey holds for everyone involved and I'm really happy to be embarking on this journey with my friends and co-partners Tanaaz Bhatia and Abhayraj Kohli."
