Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is yet another fan favourite from the house of Star Plus. But a recent ongoing track from the show has irked fans who have been rooting for the serial’s lead couple Virat and Sai. The couple, who have faced many challenges including an unwanted marriage with each other, have just decided to take a new step in their life. But a recent scene that hints towards a surrogacy angle has left the viewers disappointed and they have demanded to boycott the surrogacy track on social media.
Currently, many fans of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin have flooded Twitter with their comments on the alleged surrogacy track, and have been trending the hashtag #boycottsurrogacytrack. In one of the scenes, Bhavani Kaku (Kishori Sahane) is expected to take the three couples of the Chavan family, namely Sai-Virat, Shivani-Rajiv, and Pakhi-Samrat to seek the blessings of the lord. They are expected to perform a puja for a child and the pandit is supposed to throw pebbles at those couples in the form of blessings. The pebble directed towards Sai is expected to land on Pakhi and since then, fans have been speculating about a surrogacy track being introduced in the show.
In the past too, while many shows have dabbled with this track, fans have expressed their anger towards this particular surrogacy track and have requested the makers to give the characters, Virat and Sai a peaceful journey towards parenthood. One of the fans who was feeling sorry for the character of Sai said, “Sai lost both her parents & unfortunately doesn't have any blood relatives to call her own. Only thing left will be her child, whom she can claim as her own. She has gone thru enough traumas & tortures. She at least deserves to have her own baby! #boycottSurrogacytrack @StarPlus.”
