India celebrated its 77th Independence Day on August 15, 2023. Bollywood celebrities took to social media to extend their wishes and tribute to the country in several ways. The Archies’ cast Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Dot, Agastya Nanda, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda (Dilton Doiley) took the occasion to spread some cheer.

On Sunday, the lead actors of The Archies, Suhana, Khushi, Agastya, Dot, Vedang, Mihir and Yuvraj, turned volunteers at The Bombay Canteen and served food to the guests. The special ‘Independence Day Daawat’ had regional delicacies served on a banana leaf. The cast was seen on serving duties.

Meanwhile, the Zoya Akhtar film is set in the 1960s, and it takes the audiences to the fictional hilly town of Riverdale. The Archies is a coming-of-age musical following the lives of Riverdale’s favorite set of teenagers - Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel and Dilton. Seen through the lens of the unique Anglo-Indian community, The Archies explores friendship, freedom, love, heartbreak and rebellion.
