Indira Krishnan, renowned for her roles in Durga and Krishnaben Khakhrawala, has garnered attention after joining the cast of Nitesh Tiwari's highly anticipated film Ramayana. Portraying Kaushalya in the mythological epic, Indira recently opened up about her experience of working alongside Ranbir Kapoor, calling him “one of the finest actors” in the country. She shared that Ranbir’s dedication to his craft and his humble behavior on set have left a lasting impression on her.

From ‘Animal’ to Ramayana—A dream come true
Reflecting on her earlier project, Animal, where she played Rashmika Mandanna’s on-screen mother, Indira fondly recalled her interaction with Ranbir on the last day of shooting. “I told him that I hope to play his mother someday,” she said, adding that two years later, she walked into a script reading for Ramayana and realized her wish had come true, as Ranbir would be playing Lord Ram. Her excitement was palpable as she spoke about how fate had brought them back together.

A growing bond on set
Indira revealed that her relationship with Ranbir blossomed while working on Ramayana. The two actors frequently had conversations on set, where Ranbir often spoke fondly of his daughter, Raha. The warmth in their bond was evident as Ranbir even asked Indira to bring books for his little one. “All of my son’s books are with her now,” she said with a smile, underscoring the close connection they developed during filming.

When asked whether Ranbir’s daughter Raha ever visited the set, Indira clarified that she didn’t see her during her time there. She explained that the shoot took place in the peak summer heat at Film City, which made it difficult to bring the little one to the outdoor set. However, Indira expressed her eagerness to meet Raha someday, adding that she was looking forward to the chance.
