On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, celebrated Bollywood actress Saira Banu opened the pages of her life's remarkable love story with the legendary Late Dilip Kumar. This heartwarming narrative, reminiscent of a classic Bollywood plot, was unveiled by Saira Banu in a recent Instagram post.

While filming the iconic song 'Kanha' from the movie Shagird, destiny had a beautiful twist in store. Saira Banu found herself on set, captivated by the magic of Janmashtami, while Dilip Kumar was simultaneously shooting in Madras (Chennai) for Ram Aur Shyam. The dilemma of clashing schedules led to the intervention of the eminent character actor, Nazir Hussain, who played a pivotal role in their lives.

Saira Banu fondly recollected how Nazir Hussain, treating her like family, effortlessly bridged the gap between the two sets. On that Janmashtami night, as Saira Banu sang a bhajan in front of a serene Lord Krishna statue to Lataji's enchanting playback, she couldn't resist her playful spirit. She asked Nazir Hussain to deliver a cheeky message to Dilip Sahab: "Tell him that Saira is dying to work with him, and if he doesn't, then ask him to marry me!" Nazir Sahab, renowned for his hearty laughter, took the message to Madras the following day, where Dilip Sahab, with a graceful smile, acknowledged the audacious proposal.

The unexpected twist continued as Dilip Sahab, after watching Saira Banu's Janmashtami performance, walked into her life, gazing into her eyes, and humbly asked her grandmother and mother for her hand in marriage. Saira Banu described this fortunate turn of events as nothing short of a miracle.
