Jiya Shankar is not just playing the lead in the ongoing Colors’ show Pishachini but she will also be seen as the leading lady in a movie soon. She will be seen as the lead in the film Ved, co-starring Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza. While she is happy to be receiving interesting projects, she recently spoke about what inspired her to become an actor.
Talking about it, Jiya Shankar said, "The thing that inspired me to become an actor is my mother and her constant motivation. I was really shy as a kid and to become an actor is a very big achievement in itself, for me people referring to me as one of the good actors that we have in the industry is a very big compliment for me because I have really worked hard for this to happen. And now, I am an inspiration for myself."
But like any other artist, Jiya too gave in her all and that's when she realized her true calling towards it and it also made her realize the passion she has for it. "Although my mother pushed me towards acting and pursuing this as my career what connected me to acting was when I found a passion for it and connected to every single part of being an actor with my life, past, and experiences. That's how I found the love for acting and I love portraying the emotions on screen. It challenges me. It makes me dream." she concluded.
Her ongoing show features her as the strong girl Pavithra who is all set to fight the Pishachini played by Nyrra M Banerji for the love of her life, Rocky essayed by Harsh Rajput. The show airs on Colors at 10 pm.
