Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel is pretty vociferous about topics that she is close to. Rangoli, who has been making headlines for a while now, recently took to Twitter to express her support for Kabir Singh director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, after he received flack for a statement he made in an interview on how he perceives the love story in Kabir Singh.
Sharing a clip from the film Awara, Rangoli pointed out the double standards of the industry, where one director is questioned for his violent views while, on the other hand, a respected actor is left Scot free. In the clip, Raj Kapoor is seen being violent towards Nargis in the 1951 film. Sharing the clip Rangoli posted, "Raj Kapoor’s most sexist and troublesome scene, this is the true face of Bollywood so don’t act holier than thou for a south maker and consider Raj Kapoor a legend #saynotoselectiveoutrage".

For the uninitiated, in an interview with Film Companion, Sandeep Reddy Vanga stated, "When you are deeply in love and deeply connected to a woman (and vice versa), if you don’t have the liberty of slapping each other, then I don’t see anything there". The said statement created a furore on social media with some users detesting the director for his views.
